Biography


R. Wayne Wolfe or "Wayne" to those who know him well, was born in Birmingham, Alabama and attended undergraduate school at Auburn University and University of North Alabama, graduating with High Honors in 1975. He attended Birmingham School of Law graduating in 1979, having received Jurisprudence awards for excellence in trial advocacy.

He was admitted to practice in September, 1979, and began litigating matters involving trial in insurance defense and commercial law. In 1983, Wayne and Keith Jones founded the law firm of Wolfe Jones. In his many years as a trial attorney, Wayne won several high-profile trials and recovered millions on behalf of his clients. Wayne also served as the Municipal Court Judge for the City of Madison for years prior to his retirement in 2017.

During his practice, Wayne was an active member of the Huntsville-Madison County Bar Association; American Bar Association; Alabama State Bar (Chairman: Workers Compensation Section); Association of Trial Lawyers of America; Alabama Trial Lawyers Association (Executive Board 1989-1997); County Bar Association. He was also admitted to practice before all state courts in Alabama; United States District Court for the Northern District of Alabama; Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals; Supreme Court of the United States of America. Wayne was also certified as a Trial Specialist by the National Board of Trial Advocacy and was selected by his peers to be included in THE BEST LAWYERS OF AMERICA.
